missing tutorial…

February 22, 2009 | 6:45 pm

I’m pretty new to most DSP concepts, and I’m very thankful that the tutorials for MSP explain the technical details of each effect as it shows you how to program them. The only thing that seems to be missing from the tutorials is filtering. from looking around, it seems like biquad is the most popular filter that people use, but I have no idea what a two-pole, two-zero filter is. Can someone explain this to me in simpler terms, or point me in the right direction to learn more about it?

Check out the filtergraph~ object. It simplifies biquad quite a bit.
