I'm trying to make my very first Max4Live patch but I have some issue: when I start Max/MSP from inside Ableton Live, I have a MME MIDI error 7, which I read was just 'cosmetic'... But I suspect it to be more than cosmetic! Everything seems to work normally except every MIDI object (ctlin, midiin, notein) get a wrong MIDI channel. I'm pretty sure I emit MIDI data on channel 16 as I can see it on MIDI Ox or Bus Hound but inside Max4Live I get data on channel 1.

I suspect the MME error to reflect a conflict between Ableton Live and Max both trying to handle the MIDI device at the same time. I can either view MIDI data on channel 16 on Ableton Live (but my patch doesn't received anything on that channel) or view MIDI data on Max (but Live doesn't received MIDI data anymore).
