modbook vs macbookpro (videocard)
Unfortunately I think I already know the answer. I am looking at the modbook for max-msp-jitter use. But I think for openGL the video card that it comes with will not perform nearly as well as the one in the macbook. I assume maxing both machines out with 4GB of ram.
Please tell me I am wrong.
The mac book pro has
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB
The modbook http://www.axiotron.com/index.php?id=modbook has
Intel GMA X3100 with 144MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory

the x3100 is not up for jitter. it doesnt support shaders or other features
of opengl 2.0

Realy good graphics card (I'm very happy with it):
