Movie Triggering Problem

December 9, 2008 | 5:31 am

I’m not sure why the Select Object isn’t banging when my movie clip plays past the frame I wish to use to begin playing another movie in my ubumenu? I’m using objects/messages from Jitter tutorial 4 to create the value that I want Select to bang on and am then sending the playback frames of my qtmovie to Select. But the same movie just keeps looping over and over and Select never sends a bang out? Is there a better way to do this? Are the movie playback numbers going by too fast for Select to read? I’ve tried == too and I couldn’t get that to work either. I’ve pasted my patch below.

Thanks,
S

I would say your problem is the [set $1] message, which means you are setting the value (the frame) in the number box, but the number box is not putting it out. get rid of the [set $1] and you should be fine…

Hey MIB,

That did it. Thanks so much for the help and explanation.
