Halloo,

could anyone tell me which object i could use to play and manipulate mp3′s in Max/Msp?

jit.qt.movie plays mp3 files and spigot~ can bring the audio into the MSP
environment. I also do this with soundflower by setting sound output (in
System Preferences) to soundflower2 then include soundflower2 in an
aggregate midi device. This will also pick up the output of other programs
like iTunes and files being played from web browsers.

thats great,

I just found out that import message is useful with groove as well, but it is not as advanced as your suggestion.

I don’t find import in then groove documentation. Do you have an example?

Sorry. Yes, i imported it into a buffer and then used groove.
