Is there, or has someone done, a means to get an audio signal, probably via
MSP, to be visualized, probably via Jitter as an oscilloscope-like waveform?
Preferably in a way that I can then produce a QT movie of the waveform to be
manipulated. Thanks for any response!

You know the scope~ object?

You could use jit.desktop to get the picture of scope~ into jitter and
then record it… ;-)
