I've been looking into all sorts of solutions to multicast audio over a local wireless network for a few weeks now,but to no avail...

I'm using a fireface 800 with a wireless Sennheiser mic and need to be able to send the audio over wireless to 5 laptops with wired headphones. The laptops themselves have additional movies with ambisonic audio playing, so a wireless headphones option is out of the question.

Is there anyone who has done something like this before or who knows how to accomplish this?

Works well, but is subject to latency. Quality is good.

Works very well, but is very expensive; ~2000€

-netsend~ & netreceive~ : works ok, only managed to send to 2 computers simultaniously, also is unicast not multicast. Only Max/msp solution so far which comes near.

-MAST - Multicast Audio Streaming Toolkit

Didn't check, out of my league code stuff

Didn't get it operational, but might be worth a look anyway.
