Is it possible to use multiple jit.qt.grab objects with one webcam?
I have an old Philips ToUCam running fine with the IOXperts driver.
Trying to instantiate more than 1 jit.qt.grab with the same device at
the same time doesn’t work.
My question:
Is this simply impossible or could it be dependent on the camera and/
or driver?

Thanks,
Roby

Impossible. Just use one and send to two different locations (more
efficient than it would be to grab the data twice from the camera and
effectively the same result). You can store in a named matrix for
driving at a different framerate/resolution if you like.

Would recommend you use Jitter mailing list/forum for such topics, btw.

Thanks for the clarification.

Sorry, didn’t pay attention, but after using the max(msp) lists for
more than 10 years I’m still not used to all these max/msp/jitter/
java/dev/javascript/etc mailing list bifurcations. But that’s
probably due to my age.
I’ll do my best,
