i am planning on using a setup of multiple ps3 eye cams for creating a surveillance room for a theatre project.. i will need to connect 12 (or even 16, if possible) cameras simultaneously and then live process the signals…
i am not sure if the ps3 eye + macam would work in this setting… anyone has experience / tips..?

also i am wondering which type of cs lens i should buy for modifying the cameras – so if you have something in mind, please share.
it supposed to be a cheap solution, but also should serve well…

if there are other optimal solutions for this setup out there, i would be happy to hear…!

ps3 eye doesn’t work well with long usb cables.

though if it is possible with analog cameras and a hardware providing that many identical inputs – i am fine. also a single computer solution would be the optimal…
i will also need to use multiple output (min. 3 projectors), so the hardware should do it or i have a Triplehead in mind…
i took a look at the Blackmagic products, though i am not sure if any of them are fitting this setup…

any recommendations for harware + software setup..?
