multiple transports – naming transports

Hi,

maybe i missed something but i just tried naming a couple of
transports so i could have a few going. They are successfully named
however they don’t work now. Just dead transports and I can’t open
them. Is there a trick I am missing or is this a bug?

What are you expecting them to do in this patch? Were you expecting
windows like the Global Transport window? It’s up to you to roll your
own UI for named transports. Here’s an example:

yeah, i was hoping to have the nice UI for each transport. i’ll just
make them myself. i just don’t like reinventing the wheel. The UI is
there already, why couldn’t it just say "transport ‘yourname’" instead
of "Global transport"?

Check the Extras/Examples Overview/X.Music1 patch.
You will find a X.transport abstraction embeded into a bpatcher object.
It has a UI similar to the Global Transport and a help subpatcher,
and should let you control any message or attribute, such as the
transport name, that the transport object that it contains can
understand.

I meant the Extras/Examples Overview/Latest/04-X.Music1 patch from
the Extras menu.
The patch itself is in Max app./examples/sequencing-looping/
CyclistMusic.
