im receiving an error message "(mxj) invalid buf" when trying to split a stereo audio file into two mono files via [mxj buf.Op]. an excerpt of my patch is here (the problematic portion):

when i try to load in an audio file (buffer then bangs the appropriate message into mxj buf.Op to split the audio file into two separate channels, in two separate buffers), the max window states: "(mxj) invalid buf"

i have pasted the max window text, below this entry text... see text below my name @ end

about an hour prior to receiving this message, the patch was working fine, with no installations or file structure changes...

i have ensured that the files i am loading in are in fact stereo, with only 2 channels

i also re-installed max, in fact updating my version to the latest version of 5

any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
