my kingdom for unmoved quotation marks

Dear Friends,

I present for your consideration the following patch. Pay special
attention to the quotation marks around the sentence in both of the
examples, neither of which are what I started with…

Note: requires jitter for half of it.

put a fromsymbol above the Maxprint ? Unless im misunderstanding…

Well, yes, that does indeed make the Jitter and Max versions look the
same, so that is a step in the right direction.

My new question then, is: How do I make the last two match the original?
The regular expressions used should just return the exact thing put
in, but unfortunately they do not.
