I have many different colls with many commands. The structure within the colls is:

1000, "576 57 98 76 123" (HongKong) in Asia;

(Hongkong) = Human readable name for all commands "576 57 98 76 123" in all colls

Let's now say i want in all different colls the command "576 57 98 76 123" to be replaced with "123 456 78 98 7". So i just want to say that Hongkong is now "123 456 78 98 7", and all my colls get updated?

I guess dict is the right way to go and i wouldn't mind to use dict instead of coll, but from the helpfile i am not clear how to achieve this.

Here's an idea towards this - what you want to do is fairly easy in coll by dumping its contents. Since you want to replace the first value in this case at least you can find it with route. I'm adding the replacement value using a string of prepend objects.

I guess if you wanted all your colls to undergo this replacement process you could set something up with refer and run this on the same object as many times as are in a list of relevant colls - maybe using the "bang when finished with dump output" to trigger the next one in the list?

Thanks Charles, that is working excellent and saves me a lot of work (i did the replacements before by hand: they are commands, that i might have to adjust when being at different locations). I still would be curious to set up a dict-based-system in a similiar way, i tried yesterday a little bit, but it seems that the coll idea from you is more straightforward.

Need a starting point with dict... / updating colls
