I have to make a algorithmic based composition for my Max/Msp class, and I really wanted to have a table store a melody that the patcher comes up with, and then is able to play back the info in the table, so I can make motives and themes, and have it not be completly random. Is there anyone who has had some experience with this?

I'm not exactly sure what your asking for in this email. it sounds 

relatively simple to store a melody in table. just store it as XY

i guess, i'm relitivly new to max. I've read the manuals, and made some vst's but i havn't worked with Table before
