I am trying to use netsend~ on my mac and am getting the above error every time I load the object. I feel like perhaps I need to do something more than simply copy the mxo file to my max path, but am not sure. All my other objects, 3rd party and built-in, seem to be behaving properly.

Here's the rest of the error message in case it is useful:

2010-04-08 10:20:42.432 MaxMSP[4815:207] Error loading /Applications/Max5/Cycling '74/3rd-party/netsend~1.0alpha11-msp-macosx/netsend~.mxo/Contents/MacOS/netsend~: dlopen(/Applications/Max5/Cycling '74/3rd-party/netsend~1.0alpha11-msp-macosx/netsend~.mxo /Contents/MacOS/netsend~, 262): no suitable image found. Did find: /Applications/Max5/Cycling '74/3rd-party/netsend~1.0alpha11-msp-macosx/netsend~.mxo/Contents/MacOS/netsend~: mach-o, but wrong architecture

That external was created for another platform than yours. If you got it from the link below it has probably not been ported to the intel architecture, i.e. it is not usable.

You need to get a version for intel macs or a universal binary.

Hi Hans...thanks a lot for the response. that makes a lot of sense, unfortunately. I did get it from the link you posted, but there are source files there as well, so perhaps I'll be able to recompile for my architecture.

After more research, I found that Remu has kindly ported these objects to intel mac and added a few other improvements. Download here:
