new recipe- 29.Stutters

March 17, 2006 | 12:23 am

Hey List,
I just wanted to let you all know that there is a new jitter recipe
posted at

http://www.cycling74.com/story/2006/2/17/153427/406

I’m sorry about how long it has been since the last one. This example
presents a very simple mechanism for doing explicit looping of a movie
file using frame messages.

As always, feel free to let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Happy Patching!
Andrew B.

Hi, Andrew!

I saw your 29 recipe, and i would like to know, how could it be possible to change the stutter length with a microphone?

Hello,
There are too many answers to this question for me to mention here, as
how you use the microphone will be the deciding factor.

One way would be to simply perform amplitude tracking of your input
signal, using peakamp~ along with some scaling and offset provided by
zmap, et al.

Otherwise, you’ll have to be a bit more specific as to what it is you
want to do.

Happy Patching,
Andrew B.
