Allo. Just wondering if there’s an object that takes an input of two numbers and interpolates from one to the other. Does such an object exist?

In case this doesn’t exist…. Essentially I’m trying to create the animated x/y coordinates of a sine curve. I’m using the quadpan~ object from "Luigi’s Externals" which requires the two dimensional coordinates of a sine curve to crossfade between 4 channels.

Thanks in advance :)

Documentation. You’re looking for [line] or [line~]. These come up
pretty early on in the tutorials. HTH.

wow. yeah, dumb question sorry. Somehow I managed to forget about that object….. It’s amazing what a few months of not using max has done to me…..

I find that sometimes line~ and line don’t quite do what I need; Fredrik Olofsson has a great pack of externals (f0) including a couple smoothing algorithms, for blending between two integers.

f0.smooth and f0.auto_scale are probably my two most-used externals. Useful in ohsomany ways.
