To be more specific: I have a Yamaha 01X digital mixing studio which works perfectly fine with standart DAWs like Cubase etc. The driver software is named “mLan” and offers ASIO as well as WDM support. The whole thing is connected to the computer via firewire.

However, I can’t get MaxMSP working with it. It recognizes the mLan ASIO driver, but tells be that “…ASIO mLan: can’t deal with 154 bufsize”.

Furthermore MaxMSP doesn’t recognize any input channels…

Therefore my question if there is anybody out there who can help me with basic setup troubles.
I run a WinXP prof SP 2.

Thanx in advance!

Hi, Tomas,

thanks for your answer! I got it working, because I set the mLan to 48 kHz. When I started MaxMSP everything was functioning the way it should. Then I turned off MaxMSP, switched the mLan setups back to 44.1 kHz, started MaxMSP again and got the message: Couldn’t initialize 48 kHz, trying with 44.1. And from that moment on there where NO problems whatsoever.

So it seems we found 2 possibilities to handle Yamaha hardware in MaxMSP. That’s great!

Thanks again!
All the best,
Robert
