I’m currently building a complex patch in which I need a series of external objects to process certain parameters so things don’t get too messy, thing is, I haven’t been able to make my externals and sub-patches operable as UI objects on the main patch. I come from PD where you only need to check a box that says "graph on parent" to set an area which would be shown inside any patch in which your object is loaded. It’s pretty obvious this is doable in Max-MSP, but I can’t find how to! Help please!

I think you’re looking for the bpatcher concept.
Doh, finally found how it works with youtube… I knew I was close but I was approaching it the wrong way, I was using the bpatcher inside the object and not inside the main patch… hehe oh well, transition from PD isn’t as smooth as I thought it’d be, I find myself stuck with simple things like this all the time hehe.
