Number Filtering issue?

Hi,
I’m new to the forum so forgive me if I’m missing an obvious solution, but I haven’t found any postings regarding this issue.
I’m having problems with a patcher I wrote, so I wrote a very simple patcher to duplicate the issue. A description is included in the comments.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

#P newex 89 201 102 9109513 if $i1 >= 0 then set $i1;
#P window linecount 6;
#P comment 143 252 322 9109513 I’ve isolated my issue to down into this very simple patcher. What I’m doing is comparing the output of the slider vs. the output of the slider after it passes through my “if” object. I run it through a number box to monitor the results which look the same(except that one does not output any number below zero) , but when connected to the “ctlout” object through the “if” object , the it does not output any MIDI data. I’m stumped.;
#P connect 2 0 5 0;
#P connect 5 0 4 0;
#P connect 2 0 1 0;
#P connect 1 0 3 0;
#P pop;

Just get rid of the ‘set’ message, and maybe have a look at the number
box help file.

Cheers,

Beautiful! I had just figured out that it probably had something to do with the “set” command, when I got your reply. Thanks a million!
