Hi, I’m still new to Max 5 and one thing that seems to be missing is the right click > new object, and a text list of every object would appear, organised in groups eg. math, data etc.
The icons in Max 5 are great and are probably even better for beginers, but i found i could explore many objects with the other format.

is there anywhere in Max 5 where this is available?
I realise i can sift through the documentation but i think the groups made it easier.

Don’t get me wrong – I’d much rather have Max 5 without this function than still be on max 4.5.

Cheers.

You may have a look to the “file browser” (file-> ‘new file browser’).
you can drag object from it, and drop them in a patcher windows.
