Hey list –

I was away for a few weeks, and going through some older posts I
want to get a bit more LPC info out:

1. As Peiman Khosravi has noted, LPC is available in csound~ as
well as rtcmix~. In fact, I think they use the same LPC analysis
file format (they have a common heritage). Both objects are
wonderful extensions to the capabilities of max/msp.

2. To do the necessary LPC analysis, I think Doug Scott’s MiXViews
(“mxv”) is terrific:

 http://www.create.ucsb.edu/~doug/htmls/MiXViews.html

It allows for editing of the LPC and pitch-analysis data, which is
essential for good resynth.

3. Not sure about r/t analysis+resynth with LPC. Perhaps the
csound~ opcodes allow this.

4. Also not sure about how to get the PRAAT analysis data into the
rtcmix~ analysis file format. You might want to ask Doug Scott –
he reads the RTcmix-discuss mailing list regularly, go to
http://rtcmix.org and click on the “links” to join.

Hope this info is useful!
