<p>I am designing a permanent installation where a person (other people&#8217;s to the system) goes has to on/off it. Somebody knows some device to on/off a Macintosh G5 from distant (10 meters for example). </p>

						<p>Passive Infrared would do it &#8212; like a security motion detector.  Check some of the sensor threads. To get ideas about how to get this data into your computer, etc.  How you proceed depends a lot on your interest in hardware hacking.</p>
