open a patcher on the second screen but in the back

hi

i am sendig a control patch to the second screen on my mac
_I use [thispatcher] for this, and give it the coordinates ( -1260 27 -23 985 in my case as the second screen is on the left of the main one). this works and i can also bring it on the main screen (and make smaller). ok, all fine

_I can also close the patcher (with message wclose) and would like to open it as well, BUT not bring it to front (the “front” message opens the patcher but brings it to front)

I tried open, wopen……. hum, is there a command for this?

many thanks

You can’t just send a front message to the patchers you DO want in the front? I’d imagine that’s the work around way.

meaning (when you work on your main patcher) sending “front” to the other one and then “front” to the one you send the message from (the main one)

yes yes yes

it sure shoudl work – but seems a little stupid……..

of course I knew taht just after sending “front” i could simply re-klik on the one i am working on……. it’s just somehow the idea of doing something useless (making patch #2 “front” then “back”) which seems stupid

many thanks!
