Im wondering if its possible to open up a maxpat file, when I click on the maxrt.exe runtime?

I thought it used to be that you could put a maxpat file inside the same folder as maxrt.exe and as long as the maxpat and maxrt.exe have the same name, max would automatically open the maxpat file. But this doesnt appear to be the case any more.

Would be grateful if someone can confirm, or divulge how to do this.
