here's something i am working on for you.

These patches allow realtime video streaming from one computer (A) to another (B).

They use the Syphon Server-Client System and MaxMsp/Jitters jit.net and are therefore meant to be used either for vjing with two computers or for recording the stream on machine B without the need of a capture card.

I know this has been done before, but none of the attempts floating around ever worked for me. (the bottleneck always seemed to be in what way video is pushed to jit.netsend - this approach of using the matrix seems to work best as far as i can tell.)

what really surprised me was, that i did need to use a cross-network cable.

Since this is just experimental for now and in progress, i'd be happy to get suggestions on improvements or new versions.
