I have received some reports from people using my standalone videoprojectiontools which contains different jitter gl objects, that there seems to be some windows pcs which it doesnt work on, they only get an error when starting up:
“maxmsp has encountered a problem…..”

These same people get it working on other pcs so I suspect there is an issue with either GL driver or graphics card.

One laptop it doesnt work on has a Geforce Go 6150 card with opengl 2.1.

Anyone who has any insight on this?

best,

That’s a fairly terrible graphics card. are you using any slabs/shaders? Those definitely won’t work on that card, or pretty much any integrated graphics card on XP/Vista.

I’ve had a lot of hassles with trying to support and guess the problems with windows video cards over the years. It just so happens that today I’m trying to get some OpenGL based feedback stuff working on a Dell laptop, and it’s a pain. I updated to the omegadrivers which helped clear up some mirroredrepeat textures, but I can’t get feedback stuff working. I may give up.

I use some shaders in the last version, but it seems to be a problem also just using the other jit.gl objects with this particular card.
thank you for feedback!
