OpenGL not working on a windows machine

Having built a patch on my Mac that relies fairly heavily on OpenGL I have now attempted to get it up and running on Windows 7. This works on my dual booted Mac, but having tried it on another Windows machine nothing works and I get the following error messages in the Max window:

jit_gl_create_context: GL Error: Invalid enumeration
warning: couldn't create context, trying without depthbuffer
jit_gl_create_context: GL Error: Invalid enumeration
warning: couldn't create context, trying without double buffering
jit_gl_create_context: GL Error: Invalid enumeration

Searching the forums threw up a need to make sure that video drivers are all up to date, which they are. Any ideas whats causing this?

Turns out that this was an issue with OpenGL and the age of the computer, the latest version the machine supported was 1.1 and OpenGL for Max 6 requires at least 1.4. Just gonna have to live with the fact that old graphics cards like this just can;t run the patch!
