Every now and again when i am working with a jitter OpenGL window i get some really psychedelic graphics corruption going on, which then continues to affect the entire OS until i reboot. This only seems to happen since I upgraded to leopard. Just wondering if anyone else had had similar problems? I am using a 1st gen MBP.

Yes, I have, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to reproduce it
consistently enough to post anything useful about it. Usually starts
in my jit.window, & can then corrupt the entire screen. I wasn’t
sufficiently convinced it wasn’t my hardware, either, although it is
the same machine as yours…

i have an early macbook pro with an ATI radeon x1600 gfx card and 256mb ram. i have never had a full screen glitch using max 4 and jitter. i’ve had some glitches with vade’s shaders where parts of the desktop would be captured onto textures. aside from that, i’ve never had any fullscreen reboot glitches.

i also have max 5 but i’m still getting to grips with it, for important work i still use max 4. but if u can make a reproducible patch i’d be happy to test…

another thing, i’m still using osx 10.4.11

This happened while demoing a MaxJitter patch for a dance / video
project where I used the
built-in iSight with jit.qt.grab and some shader stuff.
The woman on the bottom of the pictures is the producer of the project.
She was so impressed by what she saw that she wanted me to integrate
this effect into the project…

I tried some openGL demo apps from the developer folder and so far can’t get the same problem, so at the moment i assume it is jitter-specific. Will send a report to c74 support.

I started to record it with the jit.VCR and the whole screen froze with a full screen frame of really crazy repeated garbled shapes and the computer was totally frozen no response to anything, and I had to hard reset.
