I'm wondering if its possible to open a patch from within a patch. I want to give the user of my patch the option of two types of tracking - one using a wii, the other cv. I thought it could be a good idea to keep the size of the patch down while it is running hence wanting to bang a message that opens either wii tracking patch or cv tracking patch. 

This isn't an essential feature but it would be nice.

I'm new here, but think I see the answer is YES.

2) create a patch within this patch called "myprint"

3) within "myprint" add the inlet and connect to another patch called "myprintnested"

4) within myprintnested create an inlet and connect to the standard "print"

As a quick example, try 
1) create a simple patch.  
2) create a patch within this patch called "myprint"
3) within "myprint" add the inlet and connect to another patch called "myprintnested"
4) within myprintnested create an inlet and connect to the standard "print"

you can either embed your two patches (wii and cv) in your main patch and open, close and mute them with [pcontrol] or you can dynamically load a new patcher (see helpfile), which sounds like what you want...
