opensoundcontrol question

June 5, 2006 | 9:11 pm

Hello,

is it possible to send this message via opensoundcontrol

/b_allocRead 0 ./sounds/a11wlk01-44_1.aiff 0 -1 [/b_query 0]

everytime I try it becomes garbled. The result is (notice the extra quotes
around the brackets):

[ "#bundle", 1,
[ "/b_allocRead", 0, "./sounds/a11wlk01-44_1.aiff", 0, -1, "[/b_query",
"0]" ]
]

What I want is:

[ "#bundle", 1,
[ "/b_allocRead", 0, "./sounds/a11wlk01-44_1.aiff", 0, -1, ["/b_query",
0] ]
]

Can you print your example?
Also are you using the OpenSoundControl object or udpsend/udpreceive?

Why don’t you just send it as you want it? You can use sprintf,
fromsymbol, tosymbol for this kind of stuff…
