OS X Feature Request: No modal-sheets.

June 26, 2007 | 3:27 am

Hello Development friends.

It would be great if dialogs like the "document save" box would be
application modal dialogs instead of document modal sheets. I hate
having to play whack-a-mole with all of my save boxes when I have to
decide if I want to save like 20 billion tables.

Thanks,

barry

Agreed, but I don’t understand why I’m asked about every table window anyway, when I’ve already said that I didn’t want to save the parent patcher that they are embedded in.

Though this doesn’t solve the problem, in the meantime, the keyboard
pnemonic Command+D will choose "Don’t Save", which can save you some
mousing.

Indeed it does.

I guess to be fair there is some good argument for having that kind
of dialog attached to the document it represents. 10.4 in particular
is very poor at accentuating the active window.
