OSX 10.4.10 update: any issues?

June 20, 2007 | 9:19 pm

Hi all,

Just wondering if the OSX 10.4.10 update is causing any problems with Max?

The 10.4.9 update caused problems, which were resolved by simply downloading the combo update.

So before I click the update to download, I’d like to know if there are any issues.

Thanks,

Simon

Can’t you just wait a few more minutes? I mean it’s just available
since one hour. It might be safer to wait no matter what.

Of course I can, but I had no idea that it had only been released an hour ago!

I have been out all day, so it’s not my patience that’s the problem I can assure you.

You might as well have not posted if you have no information!

I’ll wait of course.

I’m on a powerPC G4 PowerBook, MacOSX 10.4.10, Max/MSP 4.6.2, Jitter 1.6.2.

Installed the update one hour ago and am still up and running…

Is the problem patch specific?
Need a combo update?

Hope you sort it out,
–Aadjan

All working fine here (MacBook Pro 2.33GHz, 10.4.10, Max/MSP 4.6.2 &
4.6.3, Jitter 1.6.2).

Haven’t installed the update, but saw this thread which put me off. It’s so long that I haven’t actually got to the end of it yet though!

the popping sound that occurs on Intel based macs w/ 10.4.10 apparently has a patch:

i am having issues!

in fact, they are the same ones that required that Pre-binding Fix from… 10.4.6?

I just installed the 10.4.10 update and the latest security update. i am not getting the clicking that the linked Apple thread talks about. I am simply getting my Max/MSP icon to bounce once in the dock when I click it, and then nothing…

so, has anyone else found they need to re-fix the pre-binding?

Nope, as reported here, there shouldn’t be any need of the pre-
binding script with the last version of Max (4.6.3).

My Alesis x25 audio/midi controller kernel crashes my MBP 2.33 every time… Alesis knows about it and says they are trying to fix things with 10.4.10. Other USB interfaces work fine.
