Most of the CDs produced by erewhon are based on field recordings
-> http://radiantslab.com/erewhon/releases.html

Luc Ferrari died recently, but he did great stuff with field recordings.
Lopez… I prefer La Selva than his ny building recordingd.

I’d add to the already cited artists Giancarlo Toniutti, toy.bizarre,
yannick dauby.

etc.

check out mr ximm

http://quietamerican.org/

I met him after presenting an enormous 16 channel piece for the San
Francisco Tape Music Festival many years ago which involved many
field recordings collaged with max/msp and supercollider. He came up
to me after the performance and said “the cicadas were from Ta
Prohm?” (correct)

Two acousmatic composers whose music is initally based on field recordings, yet the end result is a whole new sound space:

Christopher Fleeger

sorry for not being top-notch, but I just uploaded a pretty old piece of
mine to myspace called “Le Sorgenti calde di Pantelleria” with field
recordings of hot springs of the island Pantelleria. For restrictions to
size its in a pretty low rate though…
