(over OT) music + architecture

Hello,

Did you have spontaneous *original* examples of composers having *deep*
relationships between architecture & music (let’s say "sound" to open
the field) ? I mean, not the Xenakis ones (Metastaesis + Bruxelles 1958
+ Montreal 1967…) nor Le Corbusier, nor golden number (Bartok and so
on)…

Guillaume Dufay? Neither original, nor spontaneous, but maybe one that
you overlooked.

If I remember correctly, there was a thread few times ago about
architecture and music on the Microsound mailing list. Maybe you’ll
find some info in the archives.

Brandon LaBelle have been dealing with this rather extensively both
in his own work and in the various publications of errant bodies.

Hi

i totally forgot about this one, but i have a
little book (+ CD i think) named "site of sound:
of architecture & the ear" edited by brandon
Labelle & steve roden (errant bodies press)

the cd part are people like wollscheid, hudak, rlm, kubisch…

of course if it is of any help…..
