patcher windows in 2 screens

Hello,
I usually work in 2 screens at home and very frequently I get following problem: I use to distribute the patcher windows along the 2 screens and when I go away from home and just have one of them (for example, giving a lecture…) the patchers windows that were in the second screen remain there and I cannot see them anymore…
The solution I found is either to make a blind “edit mode, select all, copy and paste in a new window” or to save the patch as a text and manually find the window definitions (vpatcher, etc.) and change them. This is OK for very small patches, but for big ones is rather unpracticable and a really find a problem in those cases where I just have one screen.
Some work-arounds?
Thank you,

Alberto

Don’t know about Windows, but on a Mac, alt-clicking
on the window’s name in the windows menu, brings the
window to the main monitor – would that all
applications featured this trick!
cheers

Thanks a lot Roger, this trick will save me a lot of time and troubles, I didn’t know about it.
Cheers,

On a Mac, choosing the hidden window in the Window menu while pressing
the “option” key will bring the window on the main screen. I supose
you have to press “alt” on windoze to get the same result.

I think it is not working on Windows but you don’t really need it. Because you can’t have a patch in a floating window outside the main MaxMSP window in Windows.

But this is really a very useful trick in Mac. I was looking for that for a long time !

Thank’s a lot
