pattr and runtime

Hi

I’m experiencing a frustrating problem. I’ve built a performance patch
for a dance company that includes a nice little preset builder for their
tech guy to use. I used a series of [pattr]‘s connected to UI objects
using the middle (bindto) outlet. Presets are stored and loaded using
[pattrstorage]. Everything works beautifully on my machine, but on the
company’s computer (which only has runtime) no presets are stored.
Initially I thought that it was due to some difference in our machines,
but it appears that the problem lies with Runtime.

Both machines have 4.6.3 and _neither_ is able to store presets using
Runtime.

Has anyone encountered this before? Is it a known issue?

They’ve exhausted their demo and are not able to upgrade to a full
version of Max (nor should they need to simply to run one patch).

All ideas appreciated,
David

Did you include the xml file that pattrstorage saves all of it’s information in?

Yes, but the idea is that the user be able to update and/or create
custom presets. Runtime is able to save and load XML files, but appears
incapable of creating presets within the [pattrstorage] object. (I tried
it with the storage window open to double-check, no go).
