PC msp

I am trying out max on my pc to see if I can convert my patches. Everything seems to work except the MSP math objects : *~, +~, %~ and the like. There not even there in the externals folder. I tried reinstalling. Whats up with this?

Do you have plus~? Illegal filename symbols are obviously not going
to be in filenames, so such objects are spelled out.

so you mean to say they didn’t convert all the help and example patches? Also the MAX *,-, +, / work, and so do msp objects with ~ (tildas) so why not the ones with both?

Not one single example patch works because of this.. Im just really suprised, and couldn’t believe that they didn’t convert all that.

It works for me. I’m not sure what’s worng with your system. Check
your Init folder for audio-objectmappings.txt. It sould look like
this:

max objectfile *~ times~;
max objectfile >~ greaterthan~;
max objectfile >=~ greaterthaneq~;
max objectfile ==~ equals~;
max objectfile < ~ lessthan~;
max objectfile < =~ lessthaneq~;
max objectfile +~ plus~;
max objectfile +=~ plusequals~;
max objectfile %~ modulo~;
max objectfile /~ div~;
max objectfile != notequals~;
max objectfile !/~ rdiv~;
max objectfile !-~ rminus~;
max objectfile -~ minus~;
max objectfile !=~ notequals~;
