Peak Detection?

What’s the easiest way to detect peaks like Ableton does? It seems like there’s a library in Max to do this, or perhaps there’s a way to parse .asd files to find the peak information.

the fastest following is done by squaring each output of hilbert~ and adding the two squares together, then you can use slide~ to adjust attack and release times…
