phase vocoder example not working

February 5, 2007 | 12:22 am

Hi,
I am studying the phase vocoder tutorial posted on cycling74 website. They have two ways of doing phase vocoder. But the example patch that is said to be more efficient does not work for some reason. I used Max/MSP 4.6 to run the patch.

Could any one check it out to see if this is my own problem or if the patch has some errors in it ?

Tha patch that does not work is named "2-pvoc-cartesian.pat".
The tutorial and patch download link can be found here.

Thanks.

I think that I needed to insert a loadbang connected to the count
object in the "pvoc_cart_sub" pfft~ patch. See if that’s the case…
I knew I had to change something to make it work, but memory is
sucking.
