pictslider size?

hi

would there be another way than scripting to define/change a pictslider size??
(scripting does erease and redo the object and its connections, right???)

many thanks

With scripting –
If the object is named- you can replace it with a larger one- that way rather than deleting and making a new one- that will keep the connections in place too!

yeah well – since it outputs its size when you change it manually (on
the bottom of the patch window) i thought there would be a message,
something in the inspector, anything to have a precise size (when
building a patch – i don’t feel like patching by scripting !)

It’s not a big deal, you just need to send script size (it does not
recreate the object). bringtofront is here to force the object to be
redrawn.

and since it works beautifully on hslider as well, and the 2 objects
(pictslider, hsilder) share the same basic default look, is it
possible to reduce the hslider margins??

It’s not, ‘cos pictslider display an image, and hslider have the
margin “hard coded”.
