Pitch recognition

April 14, 2010 | 4:55 pm

Iv done some research into pitch recognition and found that fiddle~ and pitch~ are apparently needed. Is there another object i can use that i dont have to download? If not where can i download these from, and how do i use them?

you can try with analyzer~. you will find them all at maxobjects.com; there should be also the help files.
hope it helps.

Hello Chris20,

just add the folder with this object in your filepath ; file preferences ; somewhere in a max menu …

Hello Chris20,

When the external (f.e. sigmund~ object) is in your maxMSP’s filepath, just type its name in a new box, as you do with native object : [sigmund~] ; and maxMSP will do the rest ; (looking for and load the bundle code).

All you have to deal is with maxMSP, nothing to care about the file.

PS : I don’t have maxMSP on this computer, but i can remember that the menu where your have to choose folder to add to your filepath is the one where you can change DSP setup.
