Pitch to MIDI to kslider

Heya!

I'm attempting to input an audio signal (monophonic) into Max/MSP, have it detect the pitch and then display this on the KSlider object. I've tried and had no success (probably due to my lack of proficiency with Max) with fiddle~ and sigmund~. I was wondering if anyone could either show me or point me in the right direction for creating this patch? The aim to be able to play an audio file from the hard drive and KSlider show the user the notes, whilst you can play or sing along and see if you've got the right notes or not, with your ksliders lining up together, possibly with a green light showing when the two pitches correspond.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

This is starting point, but what could be used to smooth out the output of [ftom] ?
