playback question that doesnt fit in this title…

this would be a lot easier in german but ill try

groove plays a buffer
key (A) sends a bang with msg (-1) to sig~ onject
keyup (A) send a bang with msg (1) to sig~ object

so pressing and holding A plays sample backwards releasing the key plays it forward again.

now the problem:

lets say on second 5 in the sample, i press A and play 1 second reversed, on keyup the sample will now play forward from second 4 to end.

but what i want is that: if i press A on second 5, play reversed for 1 second, that when i release the key then, it will jump to second 6 and play forward

or on second 5, play reversed for 2 seconds, release and jump to second 7

iam pretty sure iam missing out on an object that can do the math for me..
i tried it with counter and some weird connections but this cant be the way its meant to be..

do you get what i what to do / am talking about?

(for the "real thing" iam using an xgroove object, i made this simple patch with a groove~)

Okay, I think this is what you mean? I know nothing about audio, though. Do copy patches the forum in compressed format, please.

Just select your objects, then choose Copy Compressed from the Bearbeiten menu.
