Hi, I use Ablenton Live 8.4, MBP 8,1 MacOS 10.8 and Max for Live. When iI open Max from within Live, I suggest that the "virtual MIDI ports" should be created, but there is none. There is no AU DS synth as well. I have recently downloaded Live 9 and Max 6. Here the problem is still the same, but Max window says "No MIDI drive folder or default driver". I have made a new, clean account on my mac, and here is everything ok. Have some of my CoreMidi setting got corrupted, or what?
Hi, and thanks for the answer. I do not think this is the problem here. I own Live 8 and Max for Live. and I open Max from within Live. The Midi setup in Max shows no Midi ports except from those, that are used by the Max device i opened it from. It worked earlier for a year or so, but the last months, it has been like described. And the strange thing is, that everything works fine, when I log in to my computer as a new user, but I would very much prefer to repair the settings in my existing user, than start a new empty on up.
I am trying to do my first patch on Max for Live but noticed the following error message in my Max Window:
"no midi driver folder or default driver".
I am using Maverics and midi runs fine in live.
Like Repete said, it works if I log as another user!
How do I solve this?
