I'm relatively new to MaxMSP and I need assistance with my patch.

I'm trying to develop a patch that behaves as a self-aware computer that reacts to the user of the patch based on how they interact with the mouse. One click of the mouse makes the computer happy, resulting in the happy image to appear and the computer responds with 1 of 10 audio files from the Happy umenu in the Visual subpatch. Many clicks makes the computer angry, resulting in the mad image to appear and the computer responds with 1 of 10 audio files from the Mad umenu in the Visual subpatch. Similar responses, happen when the user clicks and holds the mouse and when the user doesn't touch the mouse for some time.

The patch appears to detect mouse events but not in the way I want to. Any assistance will be much appreciated.

If needed, I can upload the images and audio files that are used in my patch if that helps solve my issue. There's around 40 files.
