Pluggo crashing

I’m confused; built a Pluggo thing similar to this only without the
parameter input and it worked…but every time I put a pp object in my
host (Ableton 5) crashes…in this case I’ve even copied the pp from
Richard Dudas’ walkie-talkie example just to make sure which I have
built and works fine.
Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks

Hrm, looks fine to me… except, and I cant remember if this is “necessary” but I believe it is, there is no plugconfig object. Thats probably the case.

Strangely it works now that I have copied in his plugconfig and its
contents though I am still trying to figure out why. As for too small
my first attempt was just plugin~ -> *~1 -> plugout~ and worked fine
(without plugconfig).
Thanks anyway

be careful using plugconfig’s from other projects, as it may leed to trouble if the UNIQUE ID is maintained, I don’t think it will be, when it is copied….. but I have experienced problems

every pp has at least one default state which
needswto be written into a plug-in preset (which
happens to be in the plugconfig script.)

you could say every plug-in needs a plugconfig.
if your I/O example worked without, this is kind of
because the pluggo runtime can open patches too.
