polar to cartesian transform using jit.repos?

February 19, 2007 | 8:48 pm

hi all. checked the forums, doesn’t seem to be anything there. but i’ve been wrong many times before.

i’m looking for a jit.repos map that does polar to cartesian transforms, as opposed to the other way around. anyone got one handy?

I know that it is 5 years later, and you have hopefully moved on to other things, but I solved this issue. I thought it would be good to post the solution in case someone needs it.

jit.expr @expr (sin(norm[0]*PI*2.)*norm[1]*128.)+64. (cos(norm[0]*PI*2.)*norm[1]*128.)+64.

This is for a 128 x 128 pixel matrix.
