Poly Object with regards to Granular Synthesis

Hi,

Im wanting to build a very simple granular synthesizer that can handle live input and iv been told i can use the poly object to achieve this, but i cant find any more info than that anywhere

There are lots of granular patches available to download online but they are all too complicated and i want to make one from scratch.

If anyone knows of any tutorials that deal with using the poly object for this purpose, or can give me some useful information on the forum that would be great!

Thanks

David

Hello

I think the reason you have been told to use poly~ is because it can make how ever many copies(voices) of a process(patch) you supply the object.
I,ve included a simple patch i would put inside poly~. By the way its just a buffer player no recording.
Check out the adsr~ help file polysynth, the adsr~ examples and the MSP Tut’s for how you would go about this.

Hope this helps
