Hello list,

when I query the size of a polybuffer~ object (getsize msg), I get a number of bytes which is more than double the size of the folder I load.

is this normal? Am I missing something?

If I need to load a lot of files, should I consider to have more than 2 times the amount of available RAM?

I hope I explained myself…

thank you

If you’re files are in 16 bits, yes this is normal. buffer~ load sound files and store them as 32 bits float values, it’ll take twice the size of the 16 bits integer file that you have on disk.
